Wish I could give 3.5 stars... Stopped in before seeing a movie at the wonderful Grand Theater and had a delicious tenderloin sandwich. Perfectly fried and crispy with pickles, onion, mustard and mayo. And served on a very tasty toasted kaiser roll. Handcut french fries were crisp and delicious. Restaurant's atmosphere is great and the building is beautifully renovated. I wish, during the day, they didn't have to have all 5 huge flat screen TVs on. They're distracting. Can't these TVs be left off until a group comes in specifically to watch a game? Firehouse is definitely worth a visit if you're in Red Oak. The only reason I didn't give 4 stars is because the food is basic - burgers, tenderloins, sandwiches, etc. but still VERY good.

Decor is nice but lacks that cozy feeling, service is slow and food "ok". Disappointed with our several attempts.

I had the "famous" tenderloin. Wasn't impressed. My husband had the "Angus" patty melt, and yes, there were quotations around "Angus on the menu. It was obviously a frozen party I ejected with a flavoring mixture. The restaurant itself looked nice but the tvs everywhere were really tacky.

GOOD FOOD / NOSTALGIC Other than the old firehouse sign on the outside, and great old photos inside - you would never know or think this used to be a firehouse. It has brick, but normal in every way of the ceiling and walls, bar, etc. I expected a little more. Food was fair priced, and quite good! I had the pork chops, and my co-worker had the spaghetti & meatballs. Big, healthy portions and good quality. The place is absolutely huge, and at 6pm -- only 3 customers inside! By 8pm, there were a dozen or so. Maybe this is a weekend place? They do have plenty of flatscreens, so perhaps good for college and pro football games. Either way, I'd go back.

Waited almost half an hour for our food and we came in after the lunch rush. Husband enjoyed the Philly but the fries were burnt and cold. If you have time to wait, we recommend the wraps.

after multiple visits to see if anything improved I think I won't be back unless it changes dramatically. While the look of the building is great it can't make up for bad service, and lackluster food. For claiming to be a brewery why isnt that reflected in the menu ? I don't understand the lack of professionalism in the servers' attire, most of the visits the servers were dressed so casually they looked as if they stopped by while going to clean out the garage. Someone please teach the servers -the timing of how to serve. If you order an appetizer/ entree/ dessert dont be surprised if it all comes at the same time and you're juggling all the plates along with the beverage. It's too bad as it could really be a great restaurant.

Cool little place in Red Oak. Refurbished fire house. Lots of memorabilia. Very good food.
